Students at Denver Academy are best described as having average or better intellectual aptitudes with a history of learning difficulties or academic underachievement due to a different learning style Denver Academy educates students with learning differences in order to help them fully develop their intellectual social physical and moral potentials thereby providing them with the necessary skills to be successful in life The school provides a full curriculum in which students work at their independent level of instruction so that their efforts result in a higher degree of success Class sizes are kept small between 11 and 15 students with a 71 studentteacher ratio Denver Academy was founded in 1972
